COVID-19 Community Support: Tips for Tips

COVID-19 has impacted ALL of us. The hospitality industry has come to a (almost) screeching halt, causing economic ripples that are more like tidal waves. In an effort to help local bartenders/servers, we are partnering with various groups to host virtual events (e.g., happy hours) featuring a local guest bartender with a virtual tip jar - giving tips on how to make cocktails for...tips! The guest bartender:

• Designs make-at-home cocktail recipes for the event, 
• Conducts cocktail demos during the virtual event,
• Answers mixology questions, and
• Provides a personal perspective into the impact on the industry.

And the attendees tip the bartender (via the bartender's Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, etc.). We also try to feature products from local distilleries, breweries, and/or wineries as part of the event, as well as identify "sponsors" to help offset any costs and to contribute to the tip jar.

As long as it is feasible, please help us help our community. If you are interested in hosting a virtual happy hour, want to suggest a guest bartender, or recommend products to feature, please let us know.  We recognize that this one action won't make or break what is going on.
